Dutch Film Crew posing with Bush Pilot Roberts and the native villagers

I was in Irian Jaya shooting a story for the ShareHim TV News Magazine. While there I flew along with Bush Pilot Roberts as we carried a Dutch film crew to a distant village where they were doing a story about the primative mountain people. They had recently completed a book about the rare-native people of Africa . . .

West Papua, Indonesia (Irian Jaya). the largest tropical island in the world, is divided roughly in half. To the east is Papua New Guinea (PNG), independent since 1975. To the west is Papua (163,000 square miles), which comprises approximately one-fourth of the total area of the Indonesian archipelago. Papua is often called West Papua (WP) to distinguish it from PNG. The province of Papua remains one of the least developed province in Indonesia.
