Over the years I’ve been able to travel to interesting locations. My wife encouraged me to write down some of these memories & adventures. My first adventure took me to the Islamic Republic of Iran and then a year later to the former Yugoslavia, this was in the 60's when as a US Army Medical technician, stationed in Germany, we were sent to these countries as a result of devastating Earthquakes. The Soviet Union was always a fascination for me. My first of 12 visits was back in 1993 after the breakup of the Soviet Union, Here I’ll share images and videos of Russia along with several other Eastern European countries.

West Papua, Indonesia (Irian Jaya), the largest tropical island in the world, is divided roughly in half. To the east is Papua New Guinea (PNG). To the west is Papua. The province of Papua remains one of the least developed province in Indonesia.

I spent three-weeks in two large cities on this island nation, Havana & Pinar del Rio. I was there courtesy of the “Quite Hour” television program. Here you’ll see a few images of life on this Island South of our boarder . . .
